Wow...where have I been??

We now have so many avenues of letting our customers know what is happening that I forgot about our blog. We now have a monthly newsletter, Facebook Fan Page, and Twitter.
We have a lot of new products since January....so be sure to stop by the website and take a look.

Speaking of looks...we have a new one!! This past Monday we had an overhaul done on our website...and so far the feedback has been great!
We also have added a NEW Weekly Specials page which gets switched out every Sunday. We will also be creating a Mother Day Category which will have some of our more popular products (on sale), that you can mix and match for a wonderful gift for mommy!

Wow...so much for my New Years resolution! Do we really stick to those anyway....Can I blame having a baby for my cravings...I mean I never had cravings during my pregnancy, so lets make up for it now!
I came across another Etsy seller who makes...well...NON DIET yummies! Her store is Nicole's Homemade Treats and I have fallen and fallen hard.
For Valentine's Day, I will be placing an order for these bad boys Belgian White Chocolate - Organic Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cream Cookie Dream
and perhaps TRY to give them away...hmmmm maybe I should buy more goodies so I can treat myself too.

Teething...already???

Hard to believe our little girl is 3.5 months already!! I swear it was just yesterday that we were welcoming her into the world....and now she is teething?!?
She has been pretty cranky for the last week...well since Christmas Day really...so 2 weeks :) She has been drooling like crazy, and munching on anything and everything in site (including my arm when I am dressing her...lol)
I neverrrrrr considered this was teething...always thought that happened around 5 or so months....but not true!!! My girlfriend Mandi was the one who brought it to my attention...and I was stunned. She told me to go and run my fingers along her gums...and I thought I felt a little something...but it was so hard to tell in that tiny little mouth.
Anyhow...that is what is new on our end. Here is a little picture of our tiny teether :)

Our baby girl has arrived!!!!

We are THRILLED to announce the arrival of our 1st born Sydney Alexandra Reed. She was born on Sept. 23/09 by an emergency C-section, and weighed in at 6lb 10oz. Words cannot express how much joy she brings us...and not to mention lack of sleep...lol
Everyone warned us that sleep is non existent with newborns...but I highly under estimated it...WOW!
So far we are still on target for re-opening on Oct. 21...just in time for some holiday shopping. If this changes we will post the announcement on the main site.

New Products Coming....

Summer has arrived in our neck of the world...the Ice Cream is dripping and the AC units are running overtime!
This month we have a few new products that we will be rolling out...such as Pie Candles, and some new Jar Candle scents. In addition, we are clearing out some of our soaps to make room for new ones...so be sure to check out the monthly specials or clearance pages.

Site re-vamp. Over the next week or 2 you will also notice that we are doing an overhaul on our website. I think you will be pleased with the simple and elegant new look.

Long time no post....and WE HAVE NEWS!!!

It is hard to believe that we haven't posted in our blog since January...for shame! We will be trying to make a good effort to post weekly...at least.

Here is what we have been up to since January....

On January 16th we found out that we were expecting our first child. I took a home pregnancy test at work (I also work PT at a Financial Institution). As I stood there waiting for it to change...I noticed nothing was happening. 4 minutes later I started to feel sad...thinking the test wouldn't show anything. Just as I went to throw it out, I made a discovery...I had it turned upside down...and it WAS positive!!
I must have re-read the directions about 3 times before it actually sunk in...then all I could do was look in the mirror and cry out of utter joy!!
I called hubby at work, but the poor guy was right in the middle of a meeting...I had to tell him anyway...it was SO funny! All his employees found out at the same time.
Then I ran down the hall in the bank and told all my co-workers. My manager said to me, "Um...Karen...is that the pee stick still in your hand?" What a goof...I totally forgot to put it away...teeheeehee.

Anyways, we are now coming up to our 5th month and couldn't be happier!

On the business side of things...a lot will be happening, and has happened. We have decided to discontinue quite a few of our moisturizing body bars as we want to focus on 4 or 5 of our most popular scents (Winter Candy Apple, White Tea & Ginger, Morning Rush, Be Delicious, and a NEW scent coming soon)

We will also be adding in a unscented moisturizing body bar for sensitive skin.

With Christmas fast approaching, we have decided to try something new this year...something so unbelievably ingeniuos that we don't know what to do with ourselves...want to know what it is....ok...but don't tell anyone.
We are going to relaxxxxxxxx...and take time to enjoy the world around us. Sounds crazy I know...but as the season approaches I see one common thing happening every single day...people in such a rush that they forget to enjoy themselves.
That was us last year. Simply Tempted was so busy that we almost forgot to enjoy the holidays...and before we knew it...they were over. We were a 1 man show last year...me, myself, and I....but this year we are going to try something different...I am going to try and put my husband to work. (Wish me luck with that one...lol)
Anyways...during the busy holiday shopping rush, please remember that nothing in this world is more important than your happiness and overall well being. Take the time to smile once in a while...take the time to hold the door open for a stranger...and take the time to realize how beautiful the world around us really is.
